Join us for an informative discussion on Supplemental Security Income (SSI), employment, and public benefits for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Representatives from The Arc of New Jersey and New Jersey Council on Developmental Disabilities will provide an overview of how SSI works, how employment can impact benefits, and important considerations for individuals and families navigating work and financial supports.
This session will help break down complex information about SSI and address common misconceptions about working while receiving benefits. Participants will learn about employment-related considerations, available supports and protections, and strategies for making informed decisions about work and benefits planning. There will also be an opportunity for questions and open discussion.
Multilingual closed captioning will be available for this event.
