The Arc of New Jersey's Mainstreaming Medical Care Program is delighted to announce a four-part Healthcare Webinar Series to be held on four Tuesday mornings in May: the 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th at 10:30 am. Each webinar will feature a 60 minute presentation, followed by up to 30 minutes for Q & A. The webinars are available at no charge, but registration is required.

This session will explore the structure of care for individuals with IDD and how the COVID pandemic exposed the vulnerabilities of individuals with IDD and caregivers in various settings. The complications of loss of primary medical and dental care monitoring and follow-up will be explored. The speakers will address the sequelae of changes in access and utilization of medical and dental care and the absence of routine medical and dental evaluations and treatments. For those individuals with a history of COVID-19 infection, the speakers will explain the signs and symptoms that will need to be monitored on an ongoing basis as we continue our experience and understanding of the coronavirus.
