Webinar: What Are Transition Assessments?

Transition assessments involve the continual collection of information about a student’s strengths, needs, preferences, and interests. The IEP team uses the assessment results to identify appropriate measurable goals and the transition services that need to be included in the student’s IEP. Join us as we discuss how these assessments aid tremendously in your planning process for adulthood.

Our presenter is Jared Oberweis.

Jared B. Oberweis, Esq., concentrates his practice in estate and trust matters, guardianships, and adult services. Jared enjoys ensuring the rights of individuals with disabilities are protected. He writes and speaks on topics concerning the rights of individuals with disabilities and their families. Jared was admitted to the New Jersey Bar and Pennsylvania Bar in 2014 after receiving a Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University School of Law. At Duquesne University School of Law, Jared served on Duquesne Law Review as a Senior Staff Editor. Prior to law school, he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh, graduating Cum Laude. Jared is currently a member of the Mercer County Bar Association and volunteers to provide pro bono services to the local community. Jared and his family actively support the Special Olympics of New Jersey. Outside of work, Jared enjoys golfing, cooking, and traveling. He currently lives in Yardville, New Jersey with his fiancé, Lyssa, and their dog, Jax.
