Who We Are
Created in 1985, the goals of the Coalition are:

  • To inspire and mobilize government, agencies, communities, families and individuals in a strong statewide prevention effort;
  • To foster cooperation among health/mental health, education and human service systems in prevention education and advocacy;
  • To identify needs and develop resources; and to advocate for relevant programs, services and legislation

Our Efforts
The NJ Coalition for Prevention is engaged in many prevention initiatives to educate, advocate, identify needs, and develop resources for preventable issues that can cause developmental disabilities. These efforts include:
