X-WR-CALDESC:Criminal recidivism (e.g.\, reoffending\, rearrest\, and/or re
conviction) is a complex and multifaceted topic that is likely influenced
by several prenatal and postnatal neurological\, biological\, social\, fam
ily\, and psychological factors. This training will examine the neurobiops
ychosocial factors associated with criminal recidivism through a neurocrim
inological lens. Neurocriminology is an interdisciplinary subfield of crim
inology that incorporates methodological approaches from neuroscience\, ph
ysiology\, genetics\, biology\, and psychology. The goal of neurocriminolo
gy is to better understand\, predict\, prevent\, and treat antisocial\, cr
iminal\, and violent behaviors. Implications for intake\, screening\, and
intervention will also be discussed during this training.
