Care Management Services are available at all of the Medicaid HMOs and, when done properly, are very helpful. Whenever a Medicaid HMO problem arises for a member with a developmental disability, the first outreach should be to a Care Manager to ask for help. You should receive a response within 24 hours - and sooner if the problem is urgent (if leaving a message on voice mail, please indicate if the problem is urgent!).
