The Arc of New Jersey Holds Annual Advocate's Day at the Statehouse: Governor Richard Codey Honored

On Thursday, May 8, The Arc of New Jersey held its Advocate's Day at The Statehouse in Committee Room 6. This annual event brings in hundreds of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families and caregivers to address, meet and discuss issues with their legislators. Top priorities for The Arc and our constituents are: the Governor's proposed FY 2009 budget; the 8000 person waiting list for community residential services, eliminating Medicaid co-pays; a cost of providing care increase for community service providers and supporting families who are desperately in need of services.
